Hey, I’m Liz!
First and foremost, I’m so glad you stumbled across my blog!
If you are an avid crafter or just looking for a fun project to do in your spare time – you’re at the right place! I always have and always will be a crafter and enjoy expressing my creativity through many different art forms. I work full time as a fashion designer, and believe it or not, my creative juices just don’t seem to run out.
I chose to get into blogging as I get to document, but most importantly, share my knowledge to hopefully inspire others to make something for themselves.
We purchased our first single family home at the end of 2021. I fell in love with this little blue chalet and it ended up being the inspiration for the name of my blog. I’ll be sharing snippets along the way of our renovation process and all the fun DIY projects that will go into this house.

I am a born and raised Michigander. It’s truly a beautiful state, and I enjoy spending time in Northern Michigan. I love being in the outdoors and prefer hiking boots over heels any day. Some of my favorite activities include hiking, camping, kayaking, swimming, sailing, and much more (I could go on and on, but you get the gist).
Another one of my hobbies I have is pottery. After taking my first ceramic class in college, I was hooked and recently purchased my own pottery wheel and kiln. Shortly after, my pottery business, Wild Pine Designs was born. Pottery is simply a hobby for me and I enjoy selling my creations on my Etsy page.

Another huge part of my life is travel. Before the age of 24 I had visited all 50 states with my family and couldn’t be more grateful for those experiences. I still like to re-visit my favorite locations and National Parks, but am eager to travel more internationally as my next goal is to visit all 7 continents.
Below is a picture of my trip to Machu Picchu in Peru.

Now, it wouldn’t be right not to mention my cats. I adopted two awesome kitties – Sampson and Maggie. Simply stated – they are big time lovers. However, they make absolute terrible craft buddies (if you have pets, you KNOW the struggle).
If you want to know anything more, feel free to send me a direct message using the “Contact” page. Keep in mind, I am also active on multiple social media platforms and would love to connect with you!
